Busy, Busy Little Chicks

The Little Chicks and I have been getting into the swing of things around here...now that school has started it's a whole new schedule to learn and lots of changes in our daily routine...the kids are real troopers and I love each one of them!  Each child brings their own personality into the mix which makes for some humorous times...they are lively & active and so. much. fun.

These three crazy nuggets just started at Little Chicks Daycare and are fast friends...we had a "so long summer"day...drove thru the car wash, swam at Alpine Splash Park & Wendy's for lunch!  Next week they are off to school!

Today we celebrated Alan's 3rd birthday!  We started the day at Farm Country visiting the cows, chickens, goats & horses!  We rode ponies and took a ride on the tractor pulled wagon (his favorite part!)  Alan's Mom was so awesome and brought yummy cupcakes & goodie bags for all the Little Chicks!

Little Chicks license was renewed for another year!  Woohoo! 

Remember to bring your child’s swimming suit so we’ll be ready for water play!

Wednesdays are Library Day and we’ll be attending reading time!

June Highlights!

Happy Birthday to Macady who turned 1!

June’s theme is “Under the Sea”

We will be making jellyfish, playing in our “under the sea” box, visiting the splash park & playing with our sea toys in the little pool!  We’ll also be reading stories about the sea and the creatures who live in it!

I wanted to do a quick review of our sick policy…I want summer to be a healthy time for your kids as we’ll be doing lots of activities!

Children with contagious disease may not attend the center.  These are to include, but not limited to the following:

1.      Vomiting

2.      Diarrhea

3.      Severe Sore Throat (Strep Throat)

4.      Fever over 100 degrees F

5.   Croup                                                  

6.   Green Runny Nose

7.   Severe Cough

8.   Contagious skin, eye or ear infections/drainage

If children are sent home from the center with a fever, vomiting or diarrhea, the child must be fever & illness free for 24 hours before he/she can return to the center.

Welcome to our newest Little Chicks!

Brylie is 4 months old.  She loves to read books, roll from front to back and back to front and enjoys cat naps!  She enjoys reading books & loves nursery songs!  We are so glad to have her!

Lincoln joined us in April and is 9 months old!  He loves to crawl!  He is pulling himself up on anything he can find and loves a good snuggle!  His laugh makes everyone happy!

Welcome Ms. Kayla!!

Kayla started as a full-time assistant in April! 

We are so glad to have her here!

My Little Chicks

I spent a wonderful weekend "away" at the Daybreak Model Homes "Breathing Space Retreat" learning about blogging, networking, meeting wonderful people such as Megan Faulkner Brown of the Sweet Tooth Fairy, Liz Edmunds of "Food Nanny" and Nadine Woodraska of "Material Girls".  I learned some really good stuff and I came away with a renewed outlook on what I do.  I have the BEST job in the world because I get to care for such precious children...your children.  I appreciate being able to stay home with my own children and adore being a Mother.  My goal is to focus my time and energy to making this the best child care program around.  I want to provide information to parents and to other providers that will inspire us in our roles as parents & as caregivers.
I love the little children I care for...they deserve the best!
